A place for nonprofits to share ideas and solutions.
This is YOUR place, whether you are an executive director, a board member, or in development, programs, finance, membership – it is a space for all nonprofit professionals, even volunteers.
My clients kept asking, “do others go through this too?” And the answer was always absolutely. It dawned on me that those working in the nonprofit sector need a place to share stories, situations, ideas, and solutions with each other. Thus, the Nonprofit Café was born, to help nonprofits connect and find solutions with their peers.
What’s so unique about The Nonprofit Cafés are the Advice Circles. It’s where each participant receives and gives focused nonprofit advice to their peers. Those who attend find it engaging, insightful, informative, and results oriented. Vendors and consultants are rarely invited to participate so it provides a safe environment for those in nonprofits to gather, share their issues and grow their organization.
Some very creative solutions have resulted from the circles and the response to this has been overwhelmingly positive. Additionally new relationships and synergies have occurred, Creating supportive networks and made them feel they are not alone.
The Café is held every other month and each Café is held at a different nonprofit. If you are in the New York area and would like to join us, click here to receive the upcoming dates and topics. It will be a pleasure to welcome you!

“As a brand new 501c3 I am so appreciative of the community The Cafe is creating around nonprofits in NYC. The atmosphere is something other than networking, the exchange of business cards and mission statements. The Cafe provides invaluable opportunities to speak, reflect, question and share with others. It provides us with opportunities to help each other.” Katha C. Executive Director
“Serving as a board member at a small not for profit I have found the Nonprofit Café a terrific learning experience. I have had the opportunity to hear advice from legal and financial professionals and to discuss the day to day goings on at other organizations, from small to large. I get to have these third party discussions with other board members, executive directors and the frontline employees and volunteers. I learn something knew at every event.” Mitch K. Board Member
